2024 Pacific Sail & Power Boat Show Takes Over Westpoint Harbor in Redwood City

New Sailboats, Powerboats, Yachts, Gear, Accessories, Seminars, Food, and More will Fill the Waterfront

Redwood City, Calif. (May 1, 2024) – The 2024 Pacific Sail & Power Boat Show will take over the all-new Westpoint Harbor in Redwood City, California, from Thursday, May 16 through Sunday, May 19. This four-day boat lover’s paradise will feature an expanded footprint featuring more in-water and on-land displays of new yachts, sailboats, powerboats, catamarans, electric boats, gear, accessories, and more. This year’s show will also offer fun for the little ones, entertainment, and more food options, including the newly opened Hurrica Restaurant.

“We are thrilled to be returning to Westpoint Harbor, for the second year with even more to offer newbies and boating enthusiasts alike,” said California Yacht Broker’s Association President Mark White. “From all-electric boats for on the water fun to luxury sailing yachts, this year’s show is back with more boats and more fun for the entire family.”

The show will feature a handful of new boats making their Northern California debut including the 2024 Bavaria SR36’ motor yacht, 2024 Axopar 29, 2024 Duffy Electric 22 Sun Cruiser, 2024 45 Excess catamaran, Nimbus W9, Hanse 388, and more. Additionally, the Saxdor 320 GTC, one of the fastest growing brands in Europe, will be making its California debut at this year’s show.Representatives from leading boat manufacturers, exhibitors, and industry experts will be on hand to answer questions and provide information.

New this year, attendees are invited to take a ride in the all-new Seal and Sea Dog all-electric rigid inflatable boats by Vita-Power which can run at 6-8 knots for 10-25 hours (test rides by appointment only). Enjoy a ride and feel the power of an electric engine and the quietness of the ride. A boating seminar schedule will feature safety seminars, how-to seminars, and more.

In conjunction with National Safe Boating Week, the show will feature a fun photo opportunity with life jackets as well as a life jacket giveaway on Saturday, May 18. Guests will have the opportunity to learn about boating safety, take fun photos, and receive a free life jacket, courtesy of the California State Parks Division of Boating and Waterways (100 life jackets will be given away on a first come, first serve basis.)

“The best life jacket is the one you will wear,” said National Safe Boating Council Executive Director Peg Phillips. “Whether you’re going fishing or just enjoying a ride on the boat, make sure you’re prepared for the adventure by wearing a life jacket and knowing how to use required safety gear.”

Also on Saturday, attendees of all ages are invited to board the Marin Science Institute’s Robert G. Brownlee 90-foot research vessel for a hands-on educational adventure with San Francisco marine life. Children will also enjoy hands-on fun including model RC boat races and jumpie houses.

Recently opened, Westpoint Harbor is the San Francisco Bay Area’s newest award-winning marina. The Pacific Sail & Power Boat Show will be open to the public Thursday, May 16 through Sunday, May 19, 2024. Show hours are Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, May 19, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission to the event is $20 for adults; children 12 and younger are free; and active military personnel enjoy complimentary admission on Thursday and Friday.
