AT 2017 PACIFIC SAIL & POWER BOAT SHOW
Sail and Motor Yachts, Gear and Equipment Get First Look in Richmond, CA
Richmond, Calif. (March 28, 2017) – New boat debuts and product launches will take center stage April 6-9 at the 2017 Pacific Sail & Power Boat Show (previously Strictly Sail Pacific), at the Craneway Pavilion and Marina Bay Yacht Harbor, in Richmond, California.
Sailboat manufacturers will be bringing their latest models, including those from Beneteau Yachts, Catalina Yachts, Dehler Yachts, Hanse Yachts, Lagoon, and Jeanneau Yachts. For those who enjoy the motor yacht lifestyle, Cruisers Yachts, Marquis Yachts, Princess Yachts, Tiara Yachts, and Bavaria Yachts will also be bringing their newest vessels on offer.
Additionally, several notable new products will be on display, including:
- North Sails 3Di RACE™ – North Sails patented new 3Di RACE™ product immediately gives 20’-40‘ racers and racer-cruisers a chance to improve their sail durability and results with a patented, purpose built, molded composite sail. The dedicated RACE™ tape layout makes this sail user-friendly, lighter, low stretch and more forgiving to trim and tune.
- New Hi Tech ALPHA Series Porta-Bote – The first new folding Porta-Bote in 20 years is now available. Celebrating their 40th anniversary, Mountain View, California-based Porta-Bote International has added 41 engineering advances to improve its original design. This new design is easily opened or closed and weighs half as much as comparable aluminum boats, at only 68 pounds, and no trailer required.
- Raymarine AXIOM New Navigation System – This all-new multifunction navigation system includes built-in Real Vision 3D™ sonar, the all-new LightHouse 3 operating system and blazing fast quad-core performance.
This four-day event will feature the latest boats from the manufacturers listed above as well as many others, as well as gear, accessories, free seminars, stand-up paddleboard races, radio controlled model yacht sailing, interactive activities for young aspiring boaters and more. From nautical novices to serious yachtspersons, this is the place for people to immerse themselves in the marine sports lifestyle, talk to experts, participate in hands-on seminars, learn new techniques and check out the latest in boating products.
The show runs Thursday, April 6 through Sunday, April 9, at Craneway Pavilion 1414 Harbour Way S. and the nearby Marina Bay Yacht Harbor 1340 Marina Way S., in Richmond, California. Show hours are: Thursday, April 6, Friday, April 7 and Saturday, April 8, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday, April 10, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $18 one-day adult, with children 12 and under free when accompanied by a paid adult; $28 two-day adult pass; and $48 four-day pass (multi-day passes available online only).
