A non-technical discussion of sails and how to trim them, and how they affect your boat from angle of heal to weather helm. Trim of individual sails will be considered as well as the interaction of sails with each other. Controlling your boat in adverse conditions will also be covered.

Kame Richards is a sailmaker and sail designer at Pineapple Sails, which he co-founded in 1973. Pineapple Sails makes both racing and cruising sails, literally building them from start to finish at its facility locally in Alameda, CA. Kame attended the University of California, Berkeley majoring in Geophysics.
