CATAMARAN SAILING CLINIC
Are you getting ready for your next charter vacation? Are you curious why so many sailors and charter companies are choosing multihulls? What are the main differences between multi- and mono-hull sailing? Are you looking to expand your sailing knowledge to include cruising catamarans? Then this is the clinic for you. During this two-hour, on-the-water clinic, aboard a Lagoon 38, Passage Nautical, will teach you to maneuver a large cruising catamaran under both sail and power. You’ll learn about docking, sailing, and general systems of a large cruising catamaran. This clinic is offered Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The clinic is limited to 6 people per time slot. Please note; this class assumes intermediate sailing skills and experience. The goal of this class is to transfer your existing skills set sailing a monohull to a cruising catamaran. The class will not cover basic sailing.

CLOSE QUARTER POWER MANEUVERING – DOCKING
Is it time for you to get behind the wheel of a larger power boat? This three-hour clinic will teach you how to control a single-engine vessel in close quarters maneuvering, instead of the other way around. It is one of the few classes in which you will depart or arrive at a dock as part of your training. All our students are pleasantly surprised to find themselves at a much more improved level at the end of this fun session. Following a short discussion about the 4 forces at work while motoring (prop walk, prop wash, wind, and current) we will review the basic undocking and docking techniques aboard a Barracuda 9. This is a “hands-on” clinic, so you will be doing the driving. You will practice fairway turns and backing the boat, and then we’ll move into a series of drills designed to lead you to mastery of common docking situations. The clinic is offered by Passage Nautical.
